duties to temporary and contract personnel

1. Treat temporary and contract staff with respect and dignity as befits their important role in the success and standing of the staffing industry.

2. Provide a full written contract or terms of engagement to the temporary or contract worker at the appropriate time prior to the beginning of an assignment.

3. Pay temporary staff promptly and efficiently and as specified in the member's contract with temporary or contract workers.

4. State the pay rate due to a temporary or contract worker without ambiguity.

5. Communicate to temporary or contract workers any relevant information provided to them by clients, including information relating to health and safety matters.

Meadows Consulting Ltd (trading as Meadows) will:

6. Deduct PAYE and NI from remuneration to the temporary worker as required by law.


Meadows Consulting Ltd (trading as Meadows) shall – with specific reference to interviews:

1. Undertake to carry out an initial interview whenever possible in order to satisfy itself that the candidate is suitable for the advertised position for which he/she is being recommended. Where possible at least one reference shall be requested and followed up.

2. Make any necessary arrangements on behalf of candidates for interviews to be conducted with client companies and where appropriate will indicate exactly to what extent interview expenses will be met.

3. Keep candidates fully informed of the progress of their application following any client interview.

4. Honour any request by a candidate that particular information is to be treated as confidential and not revealed to third parties.

5. Put forward candidates only for positions for which they are suited.

6. Pay any remuneration due to contract personnel as and when due and without delay.


Meadows Consulting (trading as Meadows) undertakes:

1. Not to give misleading information to a candidate in order to influence his/her decision about a position or client company or put a candidate under undue pressure to cause him/her to attend an interview or accept a position.
